With the super bowl just around the corner – and of course we can’t complain because our local team will be playing!!! We wanted to write about the best place to hold your next super bowl party!!
With newly designed digital media, decks, porches, and sunrooms have become the destination of choice to kick back and entertain.
Technology is making it much easier to include a TV in your outdoor space. With more durable screens, we can find TV sets that come with powder coated aluminum exteriors that guard internal components from rain, dust, wind, humidity and even insects.
With glare being the biggest problem of outdoor TVs, more companies are adding anti-reflective protective glass that covers LED-LCD screens from scratches. This is huge because if the screen faces the sun you need the anti glare, and if the sun is behind it you have the sun shining in your direct view.
Of course if you are adding your TV to a sunroom or covered porch you should be fine as you have additional protection from the elements.
TVs also come in hi-def and about any size for your outdoor patio, pool, deck or any living space that is exposed to the range in weather.
During the design stage, you want to make sure you decide ahead of time if you would like to have a TV outside so that you can bring cabling and power to the source. You also want to ensure the outlets are weather resistant and designed for outdoor use.
Power is a must, but you can use wireless HDMI to bring a signal or stream wireless using a media push such as an Apple TV.
We will be enjoying Super Bowl 50 on our covered deck! We would love to see pictures of your super bowl party!!!
